The course overall had a great balanced mixture of core units as well as other art related units we could pick from. When I completed the course I felt more confident in my skills that I had learnt and looked forward to putting them into practice. Majority of the teachers were passionate and made their classes as engaging as they could. There was an occasional time when some appeared to be a bit unorganised or didn't structure their teaching content as wisely, but us students managed to pull through. I greatly appreciated the permissions to extend assignment due dates; when dealing with bad mental health/too many deadlines from all units within a same week. It was a challenging course but I did enjoy my Uni experience and classes.

Deakin gave me an opportunity I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else. The units were always engaging and they were always so supportive whenever I needed help, academically or personally. I felt they were very flexible in all areas and were more than happy to see me achieve, being a first time university graduate in my family wouldn’t have been possible without Deakin.

Deakin provides ample of opportunities to get industry experience but course itself needs to incorporate practical experience on the latest tools and technologies used in the cyber security industry. Course curriculum needs regular updates considering that the cyber security industry keeps evolving
