Entry requirements

  • Successful completion of Year 12 within the last two years; OR
  • Completion of at least one year (48 credit points) of studies in any area other than education in a higher education qualification; OR
  • Successful completion of a three-year bachelor degree in early childhood that is approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Authority (ACECQA); OR
  • Successful completion of a four-year bachelor degree in primary education OR a bachelor degree and a two-year pre-service postgraduate primary teaching qualification; OR
  • Successful completion of a vocational qualification such as a Diploma; OR
  • Successful completion of a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Authority (ACECQA) AND have at least one year of experience as a Room Leader in an early childhood workplace OR 2 years of experience as an Early Childhood Assistant/Aid in an early childhood workplace
