The Bachelor of Economics and Finance is for high achievers and as a graduate of the degree students will be able to identify and apply the tools of analysis to a wide range of economic issues, including the behaviour of consumers and firms, the labour market, the environment, fiscal and monetary policy, and international trade. The program involves compulsory core subjects in first year, with options to major in either/or both Economics and/or Finance. The course was great. I felt it equipped me with a practical understanding of topics that were relevant to my future employment. I did feel that it lacked opportunities to extend this knowledge outside of the classroom, which was mainly up to the student, however, this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It is a multifaceted course with exposure to theory, practical application and research. You get the opportunity to learn the industry application of Finance theories and the government policy decisions made through economic research. The overall learning experience was smooth with the higher level of academic support at the university. Also it was great to learn in the eco-friendly beautiful campus surroundings at UOW.
