Entry requirements

For entry into this course students must have completed the following:

  • AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification; OR
  • AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Psychological Science (Counselling major) from the University of New England; OR
  • AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Practice or Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Practice from the University of New England; OR
  • AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of New England; OR
  • AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma or AQF Level 9 Masters or AQF Level 10 Doctorate degree in any relevant* discipline; OR
  • Minimum of three years' full-time (or equivalent) relevant* professional experience and training undertaken in the past 10 years

*Relevant disciplines include, but are not limited to: care for the aged, care for the disabled, children's services, community services, counselling, human resources, human welfare studies, life coaching, medicine, nursing, pastoral care, psychology, residential client care, social work, teaching, welfare and youth work.
