Definitely gets you ready to become a pharmacist by covering a diverse range of topics and skills throughout the degree. Like all other pharmacy degrees there is a lot to study and requires a lot of effort, endurance and time. Supportive throughout the whole degree.

Student review
The course focused heavily on academic and theoretical concepts, with a much smaller practical experiential component that was more heavily weighted in the final year of the course. The lecturers were typically academics or researchers rather than practicing pharmacists with current real world experience. Overall, the course quality was very high, however, I would have liked some more practical experience before being dumped into the real world. Would I recommend this course? It's probably changed a fair bit since I finished it in 2010, but overall I think it was a high quality program. If you're choosing between UQ and another university you can't go too far wrong by choosing this course.

My experience in the UQ Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program was remarkable, from the state-of-the-art facilities of the PACE campus, to the personable staff, the exceptional research academics and the family-like feeling among the graduating cohort I could not recommend it any higher to a budding health professional. Great potential for going into hospital, community and academic fields upon completing this program.
