Student review

Course content is mostly relevant to current industry, and covers a wide range of specialisations in construction. More academic theory than practical hands-on experience. Quality of teaching is generally good, however there is a high turnover of sessional staff (correlation between this and quality of teaching), while academic support is excellent. Very good balance of studies and personal commitments (e.g. work, volunteering, holidays), and DeakinTALENT (most popular university career service in Australia by the graduate recruitment industry) are fantastic in helping students find internship or graduate programs/positions. Administrative processes (including course fees) are clear and simple on the website.
